humble warrior is a new UK wellness brand inspired by eastern traditions. We have launched with a range of premium, plant-based drinks that celebrate a special group of plants known as adaptogens. The idea for humble warrior came about in 2015, when one of the founders returned from visiting family in Sri Lanka and longed for the easy plant-based drinks she had enjoyed there since childhood. In a world where so much is fleeting and impermanent, humble warrior draws on traditions that have stood the test of time, and distils these into a range of beautiful and convenient products!
Adaptogens are a special group of plants that have been used and revered in the east for thousands of years for their health benefits. They are believed to help us adapt to our surroundings by regulating our release of stress hormones, like adrenaline and cortisol. humble warrior elixirs all contain adaptogenic plants and have been developed with specific functional benefits in mind.
humble warrior drinks can be consumed at any time of day or night to support well-being. They are not supplements and should be enjoyed as part of a balanced and healthy diet.
In the east, plants like adaptogens are taken daily in small amounts to have the maximum impact. Similarly, humble warrior drinks can be consumed daily. The natural benefits of our plants best come to life when they are enjoyed over a longer period – just as they are in the east!
For maximum enjoyment our drinks should always be served chilled.
All of our drinks can be stored at room temperature, but should always be served chilled! Once opened, drinks should be stored in the fridge and consumed within 24 hours.

The super plants we use are acrid, bitter and sometimes just plain unpleasant to taste on their own so without some form of natural sweetener they wouldn't be the best.
We choose coconut nectar because it is low glycemic, comes from the flower of a coconut so is minimally processed, and is rich in nutrients and minerals. Also - and importantly - the fructose levels of coconut nectar are significantly less than other natural sweetners - 50% less than sugar cane and around 70% less than agave syrup.
We do not recommend consuming humble warrior drinks when pregnant or breast-feeding. If you have any concerns, please consult your doctor.
Creating a sustainable business model that minimises our environmental footprint is critical for humble warrior. As a result, we use 100% recyclable glass bottles and avoid plastic wherever possible.
Ayurveda was developed over 5000 years ago in India and is the oldest system of medical treatment in the world. Unlike western medicine which is research-led, Ayurveda is based on practical experience, passed down the generations – hence the translation of Ayurveda which is literally ‘knowledge of life”. Ayurveda takes a holistic approach to health, focusing on maintaining physical and emotional balance through diet, exercise (yoga) and lifestyle (meditation).
Our drinks use roots, spices and herbs that are widely used in traditional Ayurvedic and eastern traditions. We have an Ayurvedic expert in Sri Lanka and a UK nutritionist who have provided guidance on all formulations.
The humble warrior hand is the Abayaha Mudra which is a mudra used in buddhist, jain and hindu philosophies. It symbolises the triple essences of humble warrior: fearlessness (facing your battles), protection (taking care of yourself) and compassion (taking care of others).
